Athlete of the week 7/27-8/2
Luke Feucht
Luke Feucht is a Baseball and Football player from St Pius X. Luke is one of many of our athletes that come in looking for strength building after an injury and come back 10 times stronger than before. Luke’s junior year he spent a lot of the season with injuries but since coming in he has remained healthy which has allowed for him to put up huge numbers in the weight room and on the field. Luke is known as one of our hardest workers in the gym coming in often at 5:30 in the morning to start his workouts. In the gym he is putting up numbers like using 100-pound dumbbells on rear foot elevated split squats, he is squatting 350, and deadlifting 400 pounds. On the field Luke was able to put together one of the more decorated seasons in the gym. He received 1st team all-district, 1st team all-conference, and 1st team all-state. He did not stop there as he helped lead Pius to a conference title and even a state title. Every athlete we would have that would play him would come in the next day with so many good things to say about him. Luke will continue his baseball career at the university of Rockhurst next year to continue his baseball career as a catcher.
Grant “G” Hollister
Grant/Quadzilla is a baseball and basketball player out of Blue Spring South High School. At initial look G appears to be a freak of nature. Anyone who sees Grant is in awe of the size of his lower body. He not only looks the part but also performs at an elevated level as well. Grant as a freshman was able to capture 1st team all-conference, first team all-district, and first team all-state. He also is the number 9 ranked player in his class in Missouri and after how he is played this summer for Royals scout and in high school, we expect a jump in those rankings soon. Grant loves to get after it in the gym as he often comes in every day, he does not play and will come in 15-20 minutes earlier then his workout time just to do hip and ankle mobility stretches we have given him to do. Because of this he has been able to make huge strides; when he started G was squatting 135 for 6 and now, he is squatting 355 and deadlifting 360 after starting out at (insert number) and looking to make huge jumps after summer season ends. G is another one of the guys that we are really looking forward to what they can accomplish if he sticks with the program the way his for all 4 years of high school.

She is a volleyball player who plays for Club North. Her hard work and dedication in the gym is paying off with huge gains in her vertical jump and max lifts.
